Eternity in Mind
Rev. Dr. Frank Selden on Chronic Illness, Faith, and Choosing to Stay
There are moments that divide a life into before and after.
Frank Selden came to a cemetery ready to end his life and walked away with one question:
“What if my actions in this life affect what comes next?”
In this episode, I sit down with Rev. Dr. Frank Selden, a former Army National Guard officer and JAG detachment veteran who built a respected specialty practice in tax and estate work, and helped thousands of entrepreneurs with calm, clarity, and deep listening.
Then chronic, late stage Epstein Barr and related complications brought his life to a stop. He went from high functioning and successful to spending most of his days in bed, and he reached a point of despair that led him to Tahoma National Cemetery.
What he experienced there changed him. Since then, Frank has rebuilt slowly and deliberately, turning toward trauma informed men’s work, functional medicine, spiritual training, and writing for people living with chronic illness, pain, and mental health struggles. His upcoming autobiography tells the story of that night and the long work of learning to live again, with eternity in mind.

Reflection prompt
Where are you demanding certainty from life, and what is one small way you can choose peace today, even if nothing else changes yet

This brought me so much to ponder. Excellent!
